Our Mission
The mission of the W.E.B. Du Bois Society is to increase awareness of the important link between school culture and the productivity and performance in schools by equipping the educational ecosystem with the knowledge and tools to improve culture. We will help to foster alignment, cohesion and collaboration between all education stakeholders to improve student learning and teacher effectiveness over time.

Student motivation and engagement are among the most significant contributors to student academic achievement and life success.
Our Strategy
The W.E.B. Du Bois Society’s strategy for improving school culture includes:
- Partner with local Atlanta Public School to conduct an audit and map of the school culture to reveal aspects of culture that help or hinder learning.
- Share audit findings with school leaders and discuss implications of findings.
- Make recommendations and build the knowledge base among staff and leadership about how to improve school culture.
The Du Bois Society has created a strong framework and believes that through the collaboration of leadership, staff, parents and community members, we can positively impact school culture one school at a time.
A healthy school culture is the greatest factor leading to academic achievement and life success.
