Mildred A. Smith
Director
Millie is a community leader involved in scouting and an assortment of volunteer projects at her sons' schools. Millie is Vice President of the Steve Smith Scholarship Fund, her family's educational foundation that provides scholarships to Michigan State University for African American students graduating from Pershing High School in Detroit, Michigan, a co-creator of the scholarship program at Pershing High School, co-contributor of the Clara Bell Smith Student Academic Center at Michigan State University and honorary chair of the Michigan State Sparty Project. Millie was named one of Jezebel Magazine's "50 Most Beautiful Atlantans", is a member of the Lady Hawks Association and is an expert planner and organizer of events. Millie, a native of Louisiana, received a B.S. degree from Georgia State University. |
