For several reasons, black youth in America today are in a state of emergency and
in dire need of a lifeline. We believe, like W.E.B. Du Bois believed, education is that lifeline.

But, according to the statistics, the standard approaches aren't working.
The W.E.B. Du Bois Society is leading the way with a new approach.

An approach that's helping black students to rise above the negative statistics,
narrow the academic achievement gap and
influence their peers
to make academic excellence a top priority and a concrete reality.
